ILLVA SUSTAINABILITY PATH: PRESENTATION AND PROJECT LAUNCH

On the occasion of the recent annual meeting with distributors from across the globe, official presentation took place of the Illva Sustainability Path, the Illva Group’s sustainability project which aims to keep creating and enhancing a fully sustainable corporate culture.

The I.S.P. – ILLVA Sustainability Path project follows the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, starting from the analysis of the company’s major impacts relative to the ESG – Environmental, Social, Governance factors.

An operational plan was defined with the initiatives to implement. It includes the prospective publication of the first Sustainability Report by mid 2023.
Sustainability is a central theme for the future of the business: this project will enable ILLVA to integrate the initiatives already carried out with an organic intervention plan designed to make the Group increasingly more sustainable.

What does it mean to orient corporate business toward sustainability?
First of all, it means to improve and maintain economic performance over time, creating value for all the corporate stakeholders; it means to protect and valorize all the people who work at and/or with the company, at all levels. Lastly, a sustainable business must reduce the environmental impact of its activities and its products, devoting particular attention to the whole pipeline and life cycle of the same: to this end, the first part of the I.S.P. project will involve Organizational Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint analyses, as well as a Product Life Cycle Assessment study, starting from the most strategic products.

For the launch of the project an official document was created indicating all the ISP guidelines and prospective stages. It is available online in pdf form for viewing/downloading (in both Italian and English) at the following address: https://illvaholding.com/isp/

Managing the I.S.P. project is the ILLVA SARONNO Sustainability Team, always available to answer any questions and/or provide further explanations, at:  ISP@ILLVA.com
